Origins, Genetics, History
Master Kush is a direct product of the Hindu Kush region. Two landrace varieties were crossed to produce this hybrid which is as much as 95% Indica dominant. Breeding was the work of famous breeders at the Dutch White Label Seed Company. This potent Indica was originally given the name High Rise, for the tall building in which the breed was concocted. Some speculate it is actually a cross between Hindu Kush and Skunk #1, having been bred, tested, and enjoyed for decades in metropolitan Amsterdam.
Appearance and Smell
Master Kush is a beautiful plant. It’s healthy leaves of dark green, jut out from a center of flowers, resins, orange pistils, and sticky, white, frosty trichomes. Master Kush packs a pungent fragrance, that has been described as sweet, earthy, citrus, floral, fruity, tropical and intense.

Medicinal Marijuana Review
Master Kush weed may have THC levels up to 24 percent. This is a sufficiently high dose for the THC to actively contribute to the medical utility of this plant. However, Master Kush is a full Indica, and those relaxing properties are what is generally sought when using this strain medicinally.
Master Kush is a powerful sedative medication due to its Indica genetics, brought down from the Hindu Kush mountains. This effect makes it a powerful weapon against fear and anxiety. When they become a medical problem, it may manifest as Social Anxiety Disorder, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, or even Bipolar type illnesses. Master Kush is able to sedate the user, make moods more stable, and make it possible to converse and get through the things in life that were stopping him from living up to his full potential.
Master Kush is widely used for chronic pain management. Chronic pain is pain that is unrelenting. Rather than fast and hard, chronic pain is slow and unrelenting. It can be like Chinese water torture. So, there’s no surprise that people have decided to use Master Kush to ease the effects of Chronic Pain. Some of these syndromes include back pain, sciatica, fibromyalgia, polymyositis, dermatomyositis, and Chronic fatigue syndrome. Patients with POTS (Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome) also benefit from the effects of Master Kush.
Master Kush is especially effective for nausea. It brings you into deep sedation where the user cannot sense the sensation of nausea that had been present for every waking moment. It blocks the overactive nausea signal in the brain. This can be helpful for cancer patients recovering from cancer and radiation, and also for persons with Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia syndrome who may experience cyclic vomiting.
Finally, Master Kush is without a doubt a powerful sedative, sleep inducer. Some people are stressed after work and find it difficult to stay awake. Master Kush can put you to sleep under a blanket of no stress or worries and of pain relief. Many people have found Master Kush to be the perfect way to reach a deep and restorative sleep for them.

Sometimes the potency of some strains take me aback. This one is just like that, as it's more powerful than almost anything I've ever smoked. Interesting thing that I expected it to be just a nice and strong body high because it had Kush in its name. And then it showed me that it could be also quite psychedelic. As always, you can experience rather different effects when smoking less or more of it. In small amounts it seems to be a relatively social strain, cause I became a little more talkative than I usually am. It is also a really great help with munchies and pain. If used in excess, I would seriously rather stay the hell inside... Imagine how your whole body numbs and then you realize your perception of images have changed and your senses are heightened af. Oh yeah, I should have explained that when I say "excess" it means five bong rips, half a blunt and a bowl of the pipe. But for people with weaker minds it's a def one hitter, be careful!
I’ve become a slave of this strain, it's too good to pay attention on something else! It tends to balance all your feelings. If you were tense and irritable, it will calm you down so you can relax and enjoy the smoke. You'll also be able to focus on things you were doing, which is just great. For me it's mostly home chores and yard work because I am a casual smoker and the weekend is the best time for that, I think. But the main purpose of using it is not just to get things done, it's more about my state of mind. I've got something like a hereditary depression along with anxiety, which is not that bad as it may sound. I've learned how to cope with it on my own by educating myself. I'm trying to be optimistic, so I think this is even a good thing because I got to know myself and how human's brain works better. But as long as we all have good days and bad days, sometimes I wake up feeling low to the point, where you can do nothing about it. But being unmotivated, annoyed and not talkative is not a problem for me anymore, all I needed was just a small hit of Kush. It also makes me more social and allows to enjoy hanging out with friends, playing video games, watching movies, and especially reading books. And the best part: you don't feel bad again when the effects wear off:)
This review is written by a medical user from Tilray for newbies who want to know more about this strain and also for more moderate weed enthusiasts. It has a much sweeter taste than other strains I tried before. Smoking it there was no harsh tone or vape feel. It doesn't have a slinky scent so if you use a volcano your room won't smell much, which is good, actually.
So, new users go first. It has quite a mild taste if smoked from a volcano vape as I did. A little amount of this goes a long way. Stoned feeling seekers will definitely enjoy it in small amounts. On the other hand, this is an ideal choice if you need to get really "messed-up". Although it will require higher quantities to reach that point of being stoned. The high is mellow and it does not allow you to concentrate, as the moment it kicks in you become completely relaxed. For me it took 15-20 minutes, but I smoked it really slowly. It seems like the set in is calm and mellow, it just forces your body into a relaxed state.
Moderate smokers seeking for a higher THC strain and mellow will definitely enjoy this. The set-up is not that fast but it's a complete relaxer. Actually I usually smoke low THC or high CBD, because I don't like the high feeling as other people do. Even though it would not become my favorite strain, I think Master Kush is a really great strain for those willing to get extremely high.
