Trainwreck is a mixture of 90 % Sativa (Thai and Mexican) and 10 % Indica (Afghan), reportedly created by two brothers in California in the 70s. Due to a train wreck near the crop, they had to pull it early to avoid detection and discovered the power of their hybrid creation.
The Sativa effects of euphoria and mood elevation dominate, yet there is also a strong relaxation from the Indica effects, with a good body buzz and couchlock (feeling glued to the couch from relaxation).
The THC level of this weed is very high, as much as 20%, approaching a kush level. This makes it a potent medical strain for many types of chronic pain and to reduce inflammation.
Appearance and Smell
Trainwreck grows fairly tall and is full of thin leaves and resin-packed buds. It has a very strong aroma with citrusy, pine, and lemon fragrances. The taste is like pine with a hint of a lemon after-taste. This makes it very suitable to fight nausea and stimulate the appetite.
How to Grow

Great piney taste and smell. Good batches of Trainwreck weed are absolutely perfect for anyone suffering from depression, anxiety and light pain. Wakes me up and gets me going, I feel awake at work and I’m extremely focused. The cerebral high gives me lots of energy when I need to stay awake and get things done while the body high provides me with the pain relief I need. Highly recommended.
My favorite strain to date. The flavosr on the exhale tastes like very sweet piney lemons and the name fits the effect perfectly. The effect is calming, this strain conveys a feeling of being uplifted and a very relaxed sensation throughout all my limbs. It motivates me to get things done and it totally kills my hangovers. Get it!
Trainwreck strain will take you far away to a pain-free world. Very potent, with a long-lasting head high that made me feel very focused, capable, and creative. Great for stress, anxiety, depression. The only downside to me was the taste, it tasted like I was smoking wood mixed with tobacco. But it is still a great bad mood beater.
After reading all these reviews, I am surprised that no one mentioned how cool this stuff is for increasing creativity. Due to my anxiety, my doctor recommends painting and writing, so I do that a lot. In addition to having a high thc level, this strain has completely transformed my creative process. Trainwreck takes my creativity to another level whatever project I’m working on and makes me feel so proud and confident during the process.
This is an excellent choice of cannabis! As a medicinal user, I found this to be the best as far as hybrid strains go. No stress, no pain, no confusion, nothing! There is one small problem, though: hide it from yourself after you smoke it, otherwise you are going to use it all up very quickly. I give it 5 stars.

Be careful with this one if you’re not familiar with its effects. It’s one of the most potent strains I’ve ever smoked! About 7 minutes after smoking, I literally had my ass glued to the couch and couldn’t move an inch! I was just a bit of relaxation but instead was hit by a train! Too stoned to do anything! So be careful!
