White Widow’s parents were wed in the Netherlands where this strain was bred. It then became a popular import into the United States. It is renowned for its cerebral effects and a relaxed, euphoric buzz. This strain is meant to be enjoyed in the company of others as it improves sociability.
Appearance and Smell
The White Widow plants are of comparatively medium height, about four to five foot tall. The nuggets of White Widow are a dense green with orange pistils but most notably, powdered in white, pungent trichomes. I would like to make a complete analysis of this strain. There's really much to say.
Appearance: the nugs are very small, covered in a layer of white and light green trichomes and resin. The hairs are light orange and the leaves tangled around the nugs make them look extremely aesthetic. If you break the bud open and look inside, you'll see it coated in trichomes with the frosting. Very beautiful.
The smell: is something you definitely never met before. It's kinda buttery, very sweet and creamy but with a strong background scent of pine and earthy a bit. It's really unique, so take a big whiff before it's gone!
The taste: can't be mistaken for any other strain as well. Very delicious and rich, it almost melts in your mouth. There's almost no difference between its smell and taste. Both are amazing, but the latter is earthier and more piney than buttery. As an experiment I tried to put it into a chocolate ice cream. It goes without saying that chocolate usually overpowers most other flavours, but not this time. Chocolate was the second flavour I tasted, imagine that!
Effects: the most interesting part. As long as I have high tolerance level, a regular smoker needs less amount of this than I do. The ratio of Sativa to Indica is just perfect. On the one hand, there's silly, happy head-high feeling, and on the other you feel relaxed, calm and even sleepy (in my case, I felt more tired). But it also gives nice visuals.
Helps with: anxiety, first of all; panic attacks (can prevent one); depression (you'll laugh about everything even if you were really sad before); physical pain (without making you couch locked); also boosts your creativity.
By and large, White Widow is not perfect, but it's definitely worth trying. And buying more:)
I had a situation in my life when I completely changed my attitude to meds and cannabis. I was in the hospital recovering from a surgery, all the body was in pain, you can imagine that. And then it happened. I had some White Widow with canna peanut butter, which seemed weird to me then but why not. Now I can tell you it definitely leans more on the indica side for me, I can feel it doing something in my body, that's for sure. And it was helping much better than any meds I've ever taken before, including the painkillers they were giving me in the hospital. I've smoked better strains helping with pain before, one of them is Blueberry. But this one made me really calm and chill, which was pretty convenient as usually I feel bored and sometimes even stressed out while being in the hospital. I felt rather cool than anxious. Well actually no, not like that... There was NO anxiety at all! Although I smoked a lot, I was happy it didn't give me any giggles so I could keep a straight face and act normally. Next time I see it but concentrated, I'm def buying it.
Now i truly, undoubtedly in love with banana bread. But let me explain you. Everything happened in the evening several days ago when i decided to vape this strain from a volcano with my friends and have fun at home. I wanted to relax completely and i did, as this thing takes away all your stress and ceases all the physical pain, so in a few minutes you start to feel like a feather. Even the buds looked weightless, of light green whitish colour with very light curly orange hairs and crevices of the trichomes. Nevertheless, it made me cough, harsher than I thought. One of the most important things that I discovered about this strain, is that there was no paranoia or anxiety AT ALL, while this is a big concern for me. When you already feel good euphoria starts to creep to your head. You feel giggly, wanna crack some jokes, laugh a lot and just have fun with your mates. Your mind opens up towards the universe, it wakes you up and gives you creative ideas. I consider it also as a perfect morning strain, just wake n bake. Oh and I almost forgot about the banana bread! My friend's wife vaping with me made some of it and we all got so hungry, it was extremely hard to be waiting. But when I finally tasted it, man it was the best thing that ever been in my mouth!
My first experience with this strain is kinda controversial. I didn't like it in the beginning, it felt like a pure rush to the dome piece. Imagine what would you feel like if Chuck Norris kicked you in your head, right where your sinuses are located! But after that this intense heaviness in my eyes came. Reminded me the feeling when you're on a rollercoaster, that just reached its highest point and then releases down that gut wrenching hill at such a fast pace. And the pressure hits your head. But one of the most important things you must remember when using this strain, is not to stay inside of your house. Cause the experience will be rather unpleasant in this box. That's why you need to get your arse into gears and come out. I felt low when I finally stepped out on my patio, but the moment I saw the world around me, everything changed. OMG it was so amazing, what I felt! The sounds of nature and birds and the city were amplified. I could hear so many things I never paid attention to before! It started to drizzle then and I could see this tiny fragile rain drops. For the first time in my life I found serenity after a short meditation. Never succeeded before!
After returning to my house I was extremely energetic, through on some music and realized it was the perfect time for studying/working.
People, enjoy this strain being out, find a quiet place and listen to your mind, allow it to travel and listen! And when the headiness is gone, get yourself busy, as your level of creativity and energy will boost drastically. Amazing strain!
This review is written by maybe not a complete connoisseur of marijuana, but a person who smokes White Widow for many years and has it on the list of favorite strains, as it was the first weed I ever smoked. A memorable one, as you can see. As many years ago, I still do get stoned to the bone after smoking this little nostalgic peace of heaven. It's amazing, how I didn't get tolerance level up to this point. The indica in it still floors me, no matter if being smoked or vaporised. I like the flavour and scent as they are rather plain and natural. The taste is earthy with woody hints. After the first hit there are two variants of what will happen: you'll feel calm and completely relaxed. Or you will be absolutely coughing your lungs out. Then a heavy couch-lock will force you to go find something to eat and drink. Or even go to bed. What about its medical effects... I have nothing really to say here, as this one is totally not for medical usage. It's so ridiculously potent, especially its sativa side, that your mind will be floating somewhere unable to come back down to earth. Really not the best state of mind for some busy/important situations.
I think there is no better balanced hybrid strain than this one. If you were trying to find something that would boost your creativity and motivation level, then I'm happy for you as you've finally found it. Another thing that goes along with those two extremely useful effects is being spaced out for quite a while. I know that's not what some people are looking for, so be careful. But for me it's just perfect cause you can use it for work AND for relaxation, as it makes going on walks or hikes just amazing. You can enjoy the things around you and nature as it greatly enhances all the colors and details. A rather good experience, isn't it?
What about its appearance, the buds are light green and fluffy with whitish hues in colour, fully covered in tasty-looking little trichomes. It has a woody and slightly herbal smell, when smelling it right from the container. When smoked it changes slightly to a woody and earthy flavour.
And one more thing must be said: newbies should really take it slowly and use it with caution, as some potent effects and this strong feeling of spacing out may cause a little anxiety or paranoia. But if you have no such issues, have fun and take the best of it!
